BLADE 2 TO SHOOT IN PRAGUE

David Goyer, writer/producer of Blade: Bloodhunt, confirmed for The Continuum that the sequel will be shot in Prague.

"Yep, it's official," Goyer said. "Guillermo (del Toro, the film's director) is there right now location scouting. And I'm in NYC...should be crazy."

Pre-production began on the movie began last month. Filming will begin on Feb. 23. Toronto also reportedly was considered.

Marvel reps are glowing over Goyer's script for the sequel.

"It's even better than the first one," said Kevin Feige, senior vice-president of Marvel Studios. "Goyer has topped himself with this one."

The only casting so far has been Wesley Snipes as Blade and Kris Kristofferson as Whistler. Several plum roles remain still to be cast.

Goyer is also writing Ghost Rider for Dimension Films and Crystal Sky Entertainment. Early indications are that his script calls for Johnny Blaze.

J.K. SIMMONS TO PLAY JJJ IN SPIDEY MOVIE?

J.K. Simmons is all but a lock to get the role of J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man movie, sources have confirmed for The Continuum.

Simmons has worked with Spider-Man director Sam Raimi before in For Love of the Game and The Gift. Simmons currently stars in HBO's dramatic series Oz as prisoner Vernon Schillinger. He also played Dr. Emil Skoda in Law & Order and is the voice of the yellow M&M.

For the role of Jameson, Simmons would wear JJJ's traditional hair style.

An official announcement of the casting of James Franco as Harry Osborn is expected soon. It will probably be close to two weeks before any other casting is announced.

Spider-Man will begin production in California on Jan. 6. The fourth-month shoot will include two or three weeks in New York.
