ARCHIE COMICS FOR JUNE

Following are Archie Comics' solicitations for June, with information provided by the company.

ARCHIE #511

Written by Kathleen Webb, Mike Pellowski and George Gladir, art by Stan Goldberg.

"The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same." Looking for a little variety, Archie decides he'll find himself a new summer love. He finds out a day at the beach isn't a day at the beach, when every girl he meets is just like Betty or Veronica. "Beach A-Go-Go." Archie dives sand-first into beach sports, but when the day is done, the only sport he's interested in is marathon napping. "Vacation Blues." Mr. Lodge decides to spend a nice, quiet summer vacation at home, but with Archie on the scene, he'll definitely need to get away. "The Dream Job." Archie's a real character - literally - when he gets a summer job wearing mascot costumes at the Ditzyland theme park.

ARCHIE & FRIENDS #49

Written by Dan Parent, art by Rex Lindsey.

"Music for the Masses." Starring Josie & the Pussycats. Continuing the tale begun last issue, the girls find themselves shooting a movie on a shoestring budget in the tiny country of Muldaria - unaware that the country's stodgy leaders have banned musical gatherings. Luckily, the King's daughter is a fan of the Pussycats, so he lets them film as long as there are no crowds. Meanwhile, Alexandra has invited herself on the trips - and she's brought her own catsuit, hoping to get in on the act. You don't think she'll cause trouble when the band bans her from the set, do you? Will there be a fade-out before filming even beguns?

ARCHIE'S WEIRD MYSTERIES #15

Betty plans to send her parents on a second honeymoon, but Veronica thinks Betty's planning to run off with Archie. "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas." The opening of a year-round Christmas shop prompts Betty to find a snow-capped mountain-top and decorate a tree in the middle of summer.

A summer fantasy with Archie as the ultimate super-teen, ruling the beach - until the girls get tired of how perfect he is. "Life Without Archie." Mr. Lodge turns Archie away, hoping for a day of peace, but finds out a summer day with the girls can be just as exhausting.

Wait till they find out who really has a crush on Brigitte. "A Ride On The Wild Side." Veronica gets love-sick - literally - when her new date takes her on all the thrill rides at the amusement park. "Mood For Thought." Betty and Veronica try out moodkinis - bikinis that change color with their moods.

"Blow By Blow" After returning to Knothole, Geoffrey informs Elias that Robotnik still has robotization on his mind. Sally disguises herself as a servant and manages to sneak out of Castle Acorn in order to go see Sonic, but Sonic has his hands full trying to stay incognito while he continues his quest for Arachnis and the Sword - not to mention Mina, Sally's latest rival for Sonic's affections. The intrigue never ends where Kodos, Doctor Quack, Tails, Nate, Elias and Knuckles all play a part. Plus, another Knuckles back-up story, this time guest-starring Sonic's buddy Tails.
