CHAOS! COMICS FOR DECEMBER

Following are Chaos! Comics' solicitations for December, with information coming from the company.

THE HAUNTED #1

Written Peter David, illustrated and cover by Nat Jones, colored by Todd Broeker.

Welcome to Hamilton High, a haven of safety and normalcy, where local brains, jocks, freaks and geeks mingle with only the usual teen angst. At least, that's what a cheerleader, a jock, a butch enforcer, and the school tramp all thought until they discovered the common terrifying bond and mysterious powers that targeted them as "The Haunted." With powers they don't understand, a mysterious organization out to harness their budding arcane abilities, and their only salvation lying with the creepiest kid in school, these teen lost souls find themselves the only things standing between all manner of occult terror and a student body that could wind up one large dead student body.

32 pages, $2.99, ships on Dec. 7 (Premium Edition, cover by Randy Green, $9.99).

LADY DEATH / CHASTITY #1

Written by Brian Augustyn, art by Carlos Mota, Walden Wong, and Hi-Fi.

One has a serious demeanor. The other is a happy go-lucky. Lady Death and Chastity -- together for the very first time. What happens when two unlikely heroines join forces? Will they butt heads or will they get along? New York City will never be the same after these two beauties of Chaos! join forces and cause havoc in the streets. If that's not enough, what ghostly, supernatural entity could they possibly be up against?

32 pages, $2.99, ships on Dec. 14 (Premium edition, cover by Scott Lewis, $9.99).

LADY DEATH: LAST RITES #3

Written by John Ostrander, illustrated by Ivan Reis, inked by Joe Pimentel, colored by Hi-Fi, cover by Carlos Mota and Cleber Salles.

Lady Death's saga as a mortal continues. Sanctity, seeking to preserve the innocence of Sarah and Tommy by killing them, possesses Lady Death. The Diva of Death now must battle for control of her own body. Will she kill the children she has sworn to protect? And Vile, the child killer, is only one step behind.

32 pages, $2.99, ships on Dec. 21 (Variant edition, cover by Alex Miranda, $7.50).

BAD KITTY: RELOADED #3

Written by Joshua Dysart, illustrated by Adriano Batista, inked by Cleber Salles. Colored by Hi-Fi.

The third chapter in Bad Kitty's second series kicks it up a notch, and things aren't as they seem. Her father is being forced to turn on her by the FBI, an ancient depraved werewolf is tracking her, the child she's vowed to protect is only a moon-sliver away from changing into a monster and her cat is dying. As usual, everything she loves is in jeopardy. Also starring Chastity and Midknight.

32 pages, $2.99, ships on Dec. 28 (Variant edition, cover by Wilson Tortosa, $7.50).

JADE: REDEMPTION #2

Written by Tom Sniegoski and Christopher Golden, illustrated by Wilson Tortosa, inked by Jonathan Balaos and Cesar De Lara, cover by Tortosa and Balaos.

In the second anime installment of Redemption, the sequel to the first mini-series, Jade is trapped between her ambitions and her attempts to make up for past sins. With her companion, Silence, she has traveled to the United States to destroy the American Triad families who stand against her, only to find herself under attack by a mysterious group, the Progeny. The Progeny have sent an assassin after her, a warrior locked within The Iron Racer, a suit of armor combining science and magic to create the ultimate vampire-hunting weapon. The Iron Racer would be a difficult enough force to combat, but the situation becomes even more dire when Jade discovers that inside The Iron Racer is Kayleigh Foster, an innocent but misguided teenager who is trapped in the armor and is determined to destroy Jade.

32 pages, $2.99, ships on Dec. 14 (Variant edition, cover by Daerick Gross, $7.50).
