JOHN HENSLEY TALKS WITCHBLADE

John Hensley, who plays Gabriel Bowman in TNT's Witchblade, said Gabriel and Sara will again become friends in the second season of the show.

Because the second season of Witchblade has a reboot of sorts after Sara turned back time in the first-season finale, Hensley said the characters will meet again in Season 2.

"In regards to them meeting again, it's immediately more intimate and that there's sort of less of a guard between the two of them as they encounter each other again," Henley told The Continuum.

"It's really interesting. They do have to start the relationship all over again. Although I sort of feel as though that there's an unsaid and unknown familiarity between the two.

"I don't think that it's anything that's necessarily emphasized where it will be exaggerated as a plot point. However, it's definitely there between them, a sort of underlying feeling that perhaps these two know each other."

Hensley's Gabriel, proprietor of Talisamaniac, was brought in as a reoccurring guest-star in the first season. In the second season, he's been made a full-fledged cast member.

A complete feature on Hensley and a preview of the second season of Witchblade will be included in Comics Continuum #1, on sale May 1. You can order the magazine from your local retailer now, or CLICK HERE to preorder.

In other Witchblade news, series star Yancy Butler was featured on E!'s Women of Action special, along with several others, including Alias' Jennifer Garner, who is set to play Elektra in Daredevil.

"I don't know why I play these tough roles," Butler said. "I'll kick for as long as they let me and as long as I can. It's not something I sought out, not something I studied. It's been very beneficial, though, and I'll take it as long as I can."

JUSTICE LEAGUE UPDATE

Cartoon Network will show new episodes of Justice League every Sunday night through April, including the Justice Guild of America two-parter.

The two-part "Fury" will premiere on Sunday, April 7 and Sunday, April 14.

Here's how the network describes the episodes:

"When a renegade Amazon named Aresia takes over Lex Luthor's old gang, Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl must team up to stop her from destroying Man's world."

The two-part "Legends" will premiere on Sunday, April 21 and Sunday, April 28.

Here's how the network describes the episodes:

"During a fight with Lex Luthor, the Justice League is blasted into an alternate reality where they meet the Justice Guild of America, a group of old-fashioned comic-book heroes whose exploits Green Lantern remembers reading about when he was a kid.

LADY DEATH/THE CROW DETAILS

Brian Pulido of Chaos! Comics said that The Crow creator James O'Barr will be involved in the Lady Death/The Crow crossover.

"James O'Barr will be providing a cover," Pulido said. "I can't say who's writing or drawing it yet."

The one-shot crossover is targeted for a September release.

Pulido hinted of more Crow comics coming from Chaos! but did not elaborate. "We'll be making some announcements," he told The Continuum.
