DAREDEVIL MOVIE UPDATE

The first image of Jennifer Garner in her Elektra costume from the Daredevil movie should be appearing "very soon," sources told The Continuum.

The costume is black, and while sexy, isn't overt and is something that would be functional in a fighting situation.

In other Daredevil movie news:

* The segment of MTV's Movie House featuring Daredevil was filmed two weeks ago. MTV was granted exclusive access to the set, led by Rob Zombie.

The network interviewed both Garner and Daredevil star Ben Affleck. The segment will premiere on Tuesday.

* A trailer is being worked on for the movie, but it is unclear if it will debut with June 21's Minority Report.

* Look for more on Daredevil soon here in The Continuum.

RED STAR TRADE PAPERBACK

Archangel Studios, the creative team behind the hit comic series The Red Star, has announced the release of its second trade paperback, Nokgorka.

This trade collects the second story arc, which relates the bloody conflict of Nokgorka, a republic fighting to win its independence from the United Republics of the Red Star. It is amidst these war torn streets that the heroes of The Red Star encounter a most unlikely saviour, a child soldier of the Nokgorkan Resistance fighting to destroy the very soldiers whose fates she unknowingly holds in her hands.

Continuing in the tradition of the first trade, the collection is 176 pages and oversized (9 inches by 12 inches); it includes a never-before-seen making of sketchbook section focusing on The Red Star's 3D computer graphics-to-print process.

The book is the first major release to hit the stores from Archangel Studios since The Red Star's departure from Image Comics.

Archangel plans to follow this release with Run, Makita, Run - the studios' first annual (40 pages/no ads) - and a relaunch of the series in October.

PARADIGM TO IMAGE COMICS

Paradigm, the comic by Matthew Cashel and Jeremy Haun, is relaunching in September from Image Comics.

Originally published by Cashel and Haun's Two Irish Guys Press, Paradigm is the tale of twenty-something Christopher Howells, an average guy, completely comfortable with the life he shares with his girlfriend of two years, until a chance encounter on the way home from the movies changes everything. In that moment, a revolution that challenges the norms of society begins, and suddenly Christopher finds himself drawn into a tangled web of conspiracy, betrayal and fantasy.

Taking advantage of the move to Image, Cashel and Haun have opted to completely "remaster" Paradigm #1, expanding its story content from 34 to 42 pages. The first issue is also being relettered and will have an all-new wraparound cover to make it easily distinguishable from the original version.

"The Image 'i' demands that we do our best work and do so in a timely manner," Cashel said. "It's all about getting the story out there to as many people as possible, and we can't imagine a better home than Image comics.

"Image to me was always an ideal. Something new, where the restraints have been thrown to the wayside, creative passions unleashed. Image is and always has been exciting -- artists looking out for artists, creators creating -- but most of all, Image is a company about 'the love of comics,' and that's something I'm proud to be associated with."

"The opportunity to tell our stories the way we'd like has always been important to Matt and I," Haun said. "Image has allowed us to do exactly that. What's more, the people at Image are passionate about comics, and we're happy to be part of a company like that."

Paradigm #1 will be 48 black and white pages and will cost $3.50.
