DC COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: JSA #38

JSA #38 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns, with art by Steve Sadowski and Andrew Pepoy and a cover by Rags Morales.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"The new Hourman, Rick Tyler, journeys to an inter-dimensional timefield to confront his dead father about Rex's life as the original Hourman, and learn the motivation of a failed family man. Meanwhile, Jakeem, with the help of the Thunderbolt, learns of a life he almost had. After discovering his father through a wish, he must now gather together the scattered pieces of his life to somehow find direction."

JSA #38 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.50.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. II #1 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Alan Moore, with art and cover by Kevin O'Neill.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"In this standalone story, the fallen cherub/miniature bodyguard Gaudium steps into the spotlight. Along with his even more delinquent sister, Spera, he ventures into the Realms of Pain in quest of a powerful magical artifact. Superman: The Man of Steel #128 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Mark Schultz, with art by Karl Kerschl and a cover by Kilian Plunkett.

Here's how DC describes the issue, which is part three of the "Return to Krypton II" story:

"Superman and Jor-El battle their way into the Temple of Rao, where, at its heart, the planet's true nature is revealed. But death may come to someone close to them."
