In other Witchblade news:

* Witchblade stars Eric Etebari (Ian Nottingham) and Anthony Cistaro (Kenneth Irons) have lent their support to the Hollygrove & Habitat - Champions for Charity Auction, the first-ever joint fundraising event organized by each actors' Web site. The online-only auction kicks off on Monday at 10 p.m. (ET) and will run for four consecutive weeks.

Etebari's charity of choice is Los Angeles-based Hollygrove, which provides abused and neglected children a safe and nurturing environment where each child can heal and develop emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically. Etebari grew up near Hollygrove and went to school with many of the center's children. He continues to support the organization through fund raising activities, especially the performing arts center.

"Hollygrove is a safe place for kids to grow, be educated and find a new home with a foster care family who will give them love and a chance to be successful in life," said Etebari. "I am thankful that my fans reach out to support this effort which sends a very powerful and inspirational message to these underprivileged children that people do care."

Cistaro's charity is Habitat for Humanity - Los Angeles, which supports the entire community as each Habitat home provides stability in neighborhoods, reduces crime, and increases hope that the opportunity to own a safe, affordable home is attainable.

"I selected Habitat for Humanity because a large part of the fund raising effort goes directly to aid," Cistaro said. "Shelter is one of our fundamental needs. Habitat for Humanity makes it possible for families who wouldn't otherwise have homes to have them. I also like the fact that the volunteer work is community-based. I hope to participate at the end of the summer in a building effort."

Auction organizers Jessie Smith, President, EtebarIAN Fan Club (www.eric-etebari.com), and Tamara Tsang and Heather Tsang (www.anthonycistaro.com) have gathered more than 70 autographed items from Etebari and Cistaro.

Bidders will need to register for an online account prior to accessing the auction Web site at http://pub83.ezboard.com/bwitchbladetheseries.

NEW G.I. JOE, MICRONAUTS ARTISTS

G.I. Joe and Micronauts will be getting new artists in a shuffling of the Devil's Due books at Image Comics.

Kevin Sharpe is the new artist of G.I. Joe, beginning with G.I. Joe #11. He takes the place of Steve Kurth, who will take over the art on Micronauts as well as its spin-off mini-series Karza.

"As much as I liked Steve's stuff on G.I. Joe, Kevin is kicking some serious butt," said Devil's Due President Josh Blaylock. "He's also one of the fastest artists I've worked with, and I think Joe fans will be blown away every issue. This also lets Steve run wild with Micronauts, which is a childhood favorite of his, even moreso than G.I, Joe."

Sharpe comes to G.I. Joe following recent stints at CrossGen and Marvel, where his assignments included penciling Sigil #4-6 and Mystic #12, as well as the X-Treme X-Men: The Savage Land miniseries.

"I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to work on G.I. Joe," said Sharpe. "Following Steve will be tough, but it's a challenge I welcome. I hope to bring something new to the table and give fans a really fun and energetic take on these characters."

Kurth is at work on the Micronauts spin-off miniseries Karza. Kurth will be joined by writer Jim Krueger in chronicling the origins of the Micronauts' greatest nemesis, Baron Karza, in what is currently scheduled to be a five-issue mini-series. Following Karza, Kurth is slated to take over as the regular penciler for the ongoing Micronauts series.

"The only thing better than working on G.I. Joe is following Joe up with Micronauts," Kurth said. "Being a crazed Micronauts toy--and later, comic book--fan, I just about made in my pants when Josh offered me Baron Karza. So you can imagine what I experienced when he then turned around and tossed me Micronauts on top of that."

G.I. Joe #11 is due in October, and the Karza mini-series will debut in March.
