Rising Star #20 will arrive in stores on Oct. 2 from Image Comics. The issue is written by J. Michael Straczynski, with art by Brent Anderson. Here's how Image describes the issue: "J. Michael Straczynski's epic story of the Specials continues. They've tried to change to world for the better…but people don't like to be told what's good for them. How can a few extraordinary individuals stand against the very ordinary masses?" Rising Stars #20 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.50.
FIRST LOOK: WITCHBLADE #59
Witchblade #59 will arrive in stores on Oct. 2 from Image Comics. The issue is written by David Wohl, with art by Brian Ching and Jason Gorder and colors by Steve Firchow. Here's how Image describes the issue: "When detective Sara Pezzini is called in to investigate a string of murders in Brooklyn, she quickly realizes there's a connection to a man she hasn't seen for some time and hoped she'd never see again--Mafia hitman Jackie Estacado, the man known as The Darkness. But since Jackie's dead, is there a new wielder on the scene? This issue serves as a prelude to the Endgame Crossover, beginning next month."

Here's how Image describes the issue: "'The Low Down.' This small Australian town isn't big enough for the two of them. Lara Croft begins her digging into the mystery of the stolen Maori Dream-Spear. Finding the right information will come only after she agrees to a duel shoot-out with the man who knows what she's looking for. It seems that Down Under, Lara is wanted more dead than alive." Noble Causes: Family Secrets #1 will arrive in stores on Oct. 2 from Image Comics. The issue is written by Jay Faerber, penciled by Ian Richardson and Jonboy Meyers and inked by John Wycough and Damon Hacker, with covers by Michael Avon Oeming and Cory Walker. Here's how Image describes the issue: "In an attempt to get on with her life following the death of her husband, Liz Donnelly-Noble gives her first solo interview on live television - something the Noble family isn't sure she's ready for. Meanwhile, Gaia tries to keep Zephyr's pregnancy a secret, and Rusty makes a bold decision about his future.
