DC COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: BATMAN #608

Batman #608 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Jeph Loeb, with art and cover by Jim Lee and Scott Williams

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Loeb and Lee begin their run on Batman with the 12-part "Hush." What's this new storyline about? Like the title says, it's a secret that's best kept under wraps for now. But Killer Croc is sure to be a part of the puzzle. What we can tell you is that Batman attempts to bring an end to the vile kidnapping of an innocent child. But suddenly, all hell breaks loose."

Birds of Prey #48 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Terry Moore, with art by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti and a cover by Phil Noto.

"Barbara Gordon, granted the gift of full mobility, saves the young girl Madison (a.k.a. Heartache) from a kidnapping attempt, and learns that the "gift" may be more of a curse than a blessing.
