DAREDEVIL MOVIE UPDATE

Gary Foster, producer of the Daredevil movie, told The Continuum that the film's new trailer will be one of two before the end of the year.

"I believe it takes the marketing to the next level," Foster told The Continuum of the trailer that reaches theaters on Friday.

"It tells a little bit more about the characters and gives you a sense of some of the humor in the relationships. The action is very strong and exciting, but just wait until you see the final full-length trailer in December!"

In other Daredevil movie news, the film's official site (www.daredevilmovie.com) had a facelift on Friday, incorporating new images, content and downloads.

Fox heralded the new site with a message from director Mark Steven Johnson:

"Daredevil has been a passion of mine since I was 10 years old, and I'm honored to be the one bringing the story to the screen. Whether you're a hard core Hornhead or just surfing by, I want to invite you to enter the world of the blind vigilante known as Daredevil. Check 'em out and see why they call him The Man Without Fear!

"The web designers have worked hard to bring you a behind-the-scenes look into the world of the Daredevil movie. You can follow the evolution of the film, from early conceptual drawings to finished photography. And be sure to check out the early costume designs --including the good, the bad, and the ugly! Try the Daredevil Quiz (I suck, by the way) and check in regularly for updates on upcoming trailers and promotions."

JOEL SILVER ON WONDER WOMAN MOVIE

Producer Joel Silver said that he still intends to make a live-action Wonder Woman film.

"We're going to make Wonder Woman at some point," Silver said during at interview with Extra on Friday.

Sandra Bullock was at one point connected with the role, but she won't be involved.

"No, no, at one point we talked to her about it and she was intrigued with it," Silver said. "It's come a long way since then."

Asked if he had settled on an actress for the role, Silver said, "Not yet."

Silver is currently producing The Matrix sequels.

MICRONAUTS COMICS UPDATE

GIVE'EM A CLICK

Image Comics and Devil's Due have announced a new regular writer and an update on artists for Micronauts.

E.J. Su will be filling in as penciler on Micronauts #4-5, following penciler Eric Wolfe Hanson's departure from the title.

After Su's two-issue stint, Micronauts #6-7 will be drawn by Italian artist Stephano Caselli.

Image and Devil's Due also announced that Dan Jolley will be joining the title's creative team as new regular writer with issue #6.

Although Su is a relative newcomer to comics, his artwork will be featured in the forthcoming Image title Tech Jacket has been the subject. Prior to joining writer Robert Kirkman for the sci-fi flavored Tech Jacket, Su drew a series of short stories for the short-lived Funk-O-Tron Comics anthology, Ink Punks.

"E.J., for the first time, is injecting a bit of the Manga element of the Japanese-based Micronauts into the comics, and it's looking really sharp," said Devil's Due's Josh Blaylock. "Hi-Fi Color is meshing so well with him, too, and I think people are really going to dig his stint on this book."

Blaylock also made it a point to note that Su's and Caselli's guest-spots on Micronauts were scheduled to give Kurth time to complete the upcoming Karza miniseries, in which he and writer Jim Krueger are chroniciling the origin of the Micro's greatest nemesis, while also getting a solid head start on penciling Micronauts #8.

"Steve's really one of the most reliable artists I've ever worked with, and on top of that, he's the biggest Micronauts geek I know," Blaylock said. "With Karza, he's building on what he learned on G.I. Joe, but with much more freedom than the style of that book allowed. People are really going to be surprised by his work on Karza, and by the time he starts on Micronauts, this boy's going to be red hot!"

Blaylock also revealed that the series is going monthly with issue #5 as it begins gearing up for the storyline: Baron Karza's invasion of Earth. Before that happens, though, writer Scott Wherle will be leaving the title with issue #7, making room for Jolley's debut with #6.

Jolley was recently announced as the writer of the second four-issue arc of stories on G.I. Joe Frontline (issues #5-8) and is also preparing to take on the upcoming Voltron series.

"Dan just knocked it out of the park with the script he turned in for G.I. Joe Frontline #5 and then did it again when we asked him for an outline of the first Voltron arc," Blaylock said. "He's quickly becoming one of our main go-to guys, but Micronauts fans definitely aren't going to be disappointed. Overall, I'm really excited about this whole direction -- the book is going monthly, the characters are finally together as a team and we're ready to amp up the action with the upcoming 'Invasion' storyline!"
