DC COMICS FIRST LOOKS

JLA/JSA SECRET FILES & ORIGINS #1

JLA/JSA Secret Files & Origins #1 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by David S. Goyer, Geoff Johns, Rick Veitch, with art by Steve Sadowski, Phil Winslade, Kelly Yates, Scott Kolins, Clement Sauve, Tom Mandrake, Dietrich Smith, Michael Bair, Patrick Gleason, Andrew Pepoy, Mick Gray, Serge LaPointe, Keith Champagne and various and a cover by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Meriño.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

" The prelude to the most anticipated team-up of the year. Artist Steve Sadowski returns to the exploits of the JSA, joining David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns to reveal surprising connections between DC's two greatest super-teams (inked by Andrew Pepoy), setting the stage for the explosive JLA/JSA: Virtue & Vice hardcover. Plus: Metamorpho returns to life (written by Rich Hedden with art by Phil Winslade); the JLA and the JSA fight over which team gets a member of Young Justice (written by Jim Beard with art by Clement Sauve & Serge LaPointe); and Chase uncovers the secret behind the mole hunt that has weaved through this year's Secret Files issues (written by Dan Curtis Johnson & J.H. SUPERMAN: DAY OF DOOM #2

Superman: Day of Doom #2 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Dan Jurgens, with art and cover by Jurgens and Bill Sienkiewicz.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Part 2 of the 4-part weekly event! The Planet's new reporter continues his interviews concerning the day Doomsday killed Superman, this time widening his subjects to the ordinary civilians who were there that day and the horrors they saw. It wasn't just Superman who died that day. Duffy also interviews the Prankster, and other lower-tier villains who tried to take credit for that day's tragedy. Meanwhile, Superman continues to investigate more mysterious accidents, as the clues to an emerging threat become clearer."

Superman: The Man of Steel #132 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Mark Schultz, with art by John Lucas and Walden Wong and a cover by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Meriño.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Superman has saved the city of Metropolis from numerous threats recently, that the citizens celebrate by throwing a big parade in his honor. Meanwhile, an actor portraying the Man of Steel gets his wish to become Superman when Mr. Mxyzptlk arrives for the festivities. The real Superman wants no part of the Imp's hijinks, but we begin to understand the bond that Mxy feels towards Kal-El."

The Filth #6 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Grant Morrison, with art by Chris Weston and Gary Erskine and a cover by Carlos Segura.

"In 'The World of Anders Klimaaks,' the streets of Los Angeles are overrun with giant, destructive zombie sperm! Can the hand stop lunatic hardcore director Tex Porneau from creating the ultimate sex and death epic?
