CHRISTOPHER REEVE ON SMALLVILLE

Christopher Reeve, who starred in four Superman movies, will be making a guest appearance on The WB's Smallville.

Smallville executive producer Al Gough told The Continuum that the episode with Reeve will air on Feb. 25.

"Christopher Reeve is an amazing actor," Gough told The Continuum in a joint statement with fellow executive producer Miles Millar. "He not only made us believe a man could fly, but he brought humanity to a super-hero. We are tremendously honored that Chris will now be part of the Smallville mythology."

Reeve, who was paralyzed after a horse-riding accident in 1995, will play a brilliant scientist who provides Clark with some guidance.

Production will move from Vancouver to New York City to accommodate Reeve.

The WB will run a public service announcement at the end of the episode for the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation.

JEREMIAH'S SECOND SEASON

Showtime has released eight images from the second-season premiere of Jeremiah.

The images are from an episode called "Letters from the Other Side." They show Luke Perry, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Sean Astin and Robert Wisden.

Perry and Warner return as Jeremiah and Kurdy, and Astin is joining the cast as Mr. Smith. Astin currently can be seen as Sam in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, which has topped the box office the last three weeks.

Production on the second season of 15 episodes began in Vancouver in October. A season premiere date has not been set yet, but Jeremiah executive producer Scott Rosenberg told The Continuum that production on the second season is "going great."

During the first season, Jeremiah was hoping to locate a mysterious place called Valhalla, which his father claimed might hold some hope for the survivors, but this personal quest was redirected when he met up with Kurdy and they discovered a group of highly organized survivors at Thunder Mountain who wanted to enlist them to orchestrate peace among the warring factions and to try and prevent the killer virus from returning.

As the second season opens, Jeremiah has been separated from Kurdy in the aftermath of a struggle with forces from the Valhalla Sector. He is being held in captivity and is about to be reunited with his father - a mysterious figure who holds the answers to many secrets about Jeremiah's world.

Astin's character will go out on the road with Kurdy to help forge new alliances that will help in the rebuilding of their nation.
