DAREDEVIL MOVIE UPDATE

The Daredevil movie will open in approximately 3,500 theaters this weekend, including many of which will show the film late Thursday night.

A representative of Fox couldn't confirm an exact number of theaters, but said the film's release will be "huge."

Insiders told The Continuum that Daredevil is a cinch to open No. 1, but will be hard pressed to top the all-time February opening record of $58.0 million, set by Hannibal in 2001. The second all-time largest opening in February was Scream 3 with $34.7 million in 2000.
