UPN has released three new images and story information for "Dirty Girls," the April 15 episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Here's how the network describes the episode: "Faith (Eliza Dushku) re-joins forces with the growing Scooby gang just as 'The First' empowers a dangerous new threat, the malevolent cleric Caleb (Nathan Fillion). "When Buffy decides to face Caleb head-on and test the wannabes, his power and viciousness stun her and the gang." Michael Gershman directed the episode from a script by Drew Goddard.
NEW SMALLVILLE EPISODEThe WB has announced that the Tuesday, April 22 episode of Smallville will be "Precipice." Here's how the network describes the episode: "After Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is almost assaulted by a college student (guest star), Clark (Tom Welling) loses control and injures the boy. When the Kents (John Schneider, Annette O'Toole) are sued for punitive damages that could cost them the farm, Clark begins to question his powers while trying to find a way out of the lawsuit. Meanwhile, Helen's (Emmanuelle Vaugier) ex-boyfriend arrives in town intent on winning her back, but when she turns him down, he stabs her, prompting Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) to take the law into his own hands." Thomas J. Wright directed the episode, which was written by Clint Carpenter.
X-MEN SEQUEL UPDATE
Bryan Singer, director of X-Men and the upcoming sequel X2, said he has story arcs in mind that could continue into a possible third X-film. "There are three ones I would like to address - if I were to go into a third film - that I would like to go into fruition," Singer said. "You have to see how these things go. "That's why I think Empire Strikes Back is so good, works so well, because he (George Lucas) says he had a plan and he did have an idea of a plan, I believe, but it wasn't until Star Wars came together in the way that it did, that you can step back and say, 'OK this is truly the right way to go.'" It's unclear if X2 will be tested for an audience before its release; the last Marvel/Fox film, Daredevil, was not tested. "It's always a good experience," Singer said of testing films. "It's not always the most fun experience, especially if your music and visual effects are not completed. But it will be an experience." * Executive producer Tom DeSanto on Ian McKellen as Magneto: "He just brings this presence to the character that's always been in the comic. That's not easy to translate to the screen, but he just really does it." * The official X2 site has released some new images from the film.
