AVATAR PRESS FOR JULY

FRANK MILLER'S ROBOCOP #1

Story and cover by Frank Miller, art by Juan Jose Ryp.

Frank Miller's never-before-seen full Robocop epic finally sees the light of day. Robocop was one of the truly great bits of movie and pop culture magic from the 80's, and the cult of Robocop continues strong to this day. In full-on action, the Robocop story is told as Frank Miller always intended, composed straight from the master's original writings and scripts! The vast majority of Miller's insane ideas, vicious black humor, and robotic mayhem never made it to the screen, but every last bit is finally unleashed in this series. With sequential adaptation from Steven Grant and art by superstar Juan Jose Ryp, the series will feature covers by Frank Miller, who is also personally supervising the creation of the entire project.

32 pages, $3.50 (Wraparound, $3.50, RoboSteel edition, $14.95)

WARREN ELLIS' STRANGE KILLINGS: STRONG MEDICINE #2

Written by Warren Ellis, art and cover by Mike Wolfer.

Ellis and Wolfer continue their latest epic with only more questions, no answers for William Gravel. The Muti killing of a black child has set London up for a race riot as tensions on the streets quickly become more than the police can handle. With no good leads from traditional detective means, Gravel has to use his magics to piece together who is pulling the strings behind this all before London turns into a war zone. And if Gravel can't stop him, many more children will die to create a black magician with very strong medicine.

32 pages, black and white, $3.50 (Wraparound, $3.95).

But she is going to have to protect him from rogue Japanese samurai, Russian soldiers and Nazi spies who all want him dead!
