LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN MOVIE UPDATEThe Continuum has obtained 10 new images from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie. The images include Sean Connery as Allan Quartermain, Naseeruddin Shah as Captain Nemo, Stuart Townsend as Dorian Gray, Shane West as Tom Sawyer, Jason Flemyng as Dr. Jekyll, Peta Wilson as Mina Harker and Tony Curran as the Invisible Man. MARVEL MOVIE UPDATEThe Punisher trailer, which is set to reach theaters on Friday with The Hulk, will be show on Access Hollywood on Wednesday. The trailer will also be on The Punisher's web site on Friday. In other Hulk movie news: * In connection with the film's release, Payless ShoeSource is launching a new line of super-hero shoes and accessories featuring the Hulk, Spider-Man and other Marvel characters. Payless' new line of all-terrain footwear includes sneakers and the popular new aqua-terra shoe, a sport sandal and aqua sock in one. TEEN CHOICE AWARDSThe nominees for The 2003 Teen Choice Awards have been announced and include several genre performers. The fifth annual awards show allows America's teens to cast their vote for the hottest celebrities in film, television, music, and sports. Teens can vote exclusively at AOL Keyword: Teen Choice Awards--which is available to both AOL and AOL for Broadband members. Teen People readers can go to TeenPeople.com to vote. The 2003 Teen Choice Awards program is scheduled to air Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Also, the evil forces beneath Wilkie House reach upwards, in "Emphasis on the Ladder!" 32 pages, black and white, $2.50. DEADBEATS #62 By Richard Howell and Ricardo Villagran, with a cover by Howell and Steve Leialoha. Dr. Ralston and Hermano the vampire king restore their alliance, Dakota and Christine mount an inter-dimensional rescue effort, and Dracula orders the destruction of one of his own, in "Shocks!" 32 pages, black and white, $2.50.
FIRST LOOK: METALLIX #6Metallix #6 is from Future Comics. The issue is written by David Michelinie, penciled by Ron Lim and inked and co-plotted by Bob Layton, with a cover by Lim and Layton. Here's how Future describes the issue: "The surviving members of Team Metallix cope with the tragic loss of their comrade through a unique form of 'primal therapy'--they make other people scream. In lieu of flowers, please send bandages." Metallix #6 will be 22 pages and will cost $2.99.
