WYNONNA EARP AT IDW

IDW Publishing has announced it will release Beau Smith's Wynonna Earp: Home on the Strange beginning in December.

Art for the series is provided by Carlos Ferreira and Silvio Spotti.

Here's how IDW describes the book:

"Over 125 years ago, America's first true organized crime family was born. Called The Cowboys, they were made up of The Clantons, The McLaurys, an assortment of other law-breaking hardcases, and leading them was Curly Bill Brocius. They were known for the red sashes they wore and the way they turned crime into profit along the Arizona/Mexico border.

"Until Wyatt Earp showed up and wrote an end to their tale. At least that's what the history books say.

"In reality, The Cowboys made a deal for immortality. They now head up the global paranormal crime family, which includes disgruntled zombie mailmen, hillbilly gremlins, Bigfoot, the vampire nation, the werewolf faction, demon brokers and spellcasters. But their immortality requires an end to the Earp line, and they didn't reckon on one last descendant: Wynonna Earp--covert U.S. Marshal of the Black Badge Division.

Said Smith: "If you're lookin' for a serious dinner, then go eat with Neil Gaiman. Ya wanna talk hip stuff, shave your head and hang out at the coffee shop, then call Brian Michael Bendis. But if ya wanna dance with the prettiest girl, drink beer and bust the bottle over someone's head, then join me for Wynonna Earp: Home On The Strange. It's the kinda fun ya have when you're too messed up to care!"

The first issue of Wynonna Earp: Home on the Strange will be 32 pages and will cost $3.99. It features a special variant cover by Dwayne Turner. Billy Tucci, creator of Shi, will do a variant cover for #2.
