MICHAEL MOORE ON THE SIMPSONS

Academy Award-winning documentary film maker and activist Michael Moore makes a guest voice appearance in The Simpsons musical episode "The President Wore Pearls" on Fox on Sunday at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Moore is an avid fan of The Simpsons.

"Ever since Bart's class went to the box factory in Flint a number of years ago, I have hoped to make it on The Simpson's one day," Moore said.

When asked how he thought he would look animated, Moore said, "However they draw me is bound to be an improvement on the original thing."

Here's how Fox describes the episode:

"In the episode, Lisa decides to run for student body president, but is dismayed to discover she is running against Nelson, who is enormously popular and virtually unbeatable. When Lisa debates him she is unable to win any points with her classmates until she sings a song expressing how she feels. The other kids are moved to tears and her popularity soars.

"After winning the election, Lisa vows to make the school a better place but soon finds herself being made over by the teachers (ala Eva Perone) and tricked into cutting popular programs. Appalled by the turn of events, Lisa Simpson and the kids of Springfield Elementary stage a revolt and enlist documentary filmmaker Moore (guest starring as himself) to support their cause."
