FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: SOJOURN #29

Sojourn #29 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from CrossGen Entertainment. The issue is written by Ian Edginton, penciled by Greg Land, inked by Matt Ryan and Jay Leisten and colored by Justin Ponsor.

Here's how CrossGen describes the issue:

"Some guys have all the luck. But in the case of Gareth, that luck is usually all bad. It seems that in Sojourn #29, the roguish adventurer, the avenging archer Arwyn, and the fiery thief Cassidy have washed ashore an island populated by beautiful women all hungering for Gareth's touch. How is that bad? Well, it looks like they might be hungry for more than his touch."

FIRST LOOK: DAVID AND GOLIATH #2

David and Goliath #2 will arrive in stores in December from Image Comics. The issue is written by Jay Ju, with art by Leonel Castellani.

Here's how Image describes the issue:

"'In a time before the atomic age, an ancient monster with more destructive power than anything seen before in the world, is owned and controlled by an innocent little boy.' In Ancient Egypt, centuries before the birth of Christ, the Pharaohs once controlled a mythical beast to destroy the armies and cities of their enemies. The beast, a large lion with wings and blood of fire, may be awoken once, every hundred years.

"It is now 1940 in New York in the middle of World War II and this same monster, after centuries of being forgotten, has been unleashed upon the world. But now, an innocent, little 10 year old boy, named David, controls the mighty monster as if it were his pet. Hot on their trail are secret Nazi agents sent out to harness this great power of the beast, to change the tide of the war. The one who controls the boy, David, controls the beast, named Goliath."

David and Goliath #2 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.
