FRANKENSTEIN MOBSTER #1

Frankenstein Mobster #1 will will arrive in stores on Wednesday from Image Comics. The issue is written by Mark Wheatley, with art by Wheatley and covers by Wheatley and Mike Wieringo and George Freeman.

Here's how Image describes the issue:

"Night. Friday the 13th and the Mobsters who run the city are gathered to watch the creation of the Frankenstein Mobster. And this monster is a Made Man. In the fire of storms, lightning and gang warfare, corrupt police turn a blind eye. All except detective Janus. And Janus has his own secrets. Janus is a were creature -- a human cat. FIRST LOOK: DODGE'S BULLETS #1

Dodge's Bullets #1 will arrive in stores in January from Image Comics. The issue is written by Jay Faerber, with art by James Francis and a cover by Tony Harris.

Here's how Image describes the issue:

"All Webster Dodge wants is to make a living playing music, but his band doesn't get many paying gigs, so he can't quit his day job. His father, a police sergeant, pushed him to take a job on the force, but Dodge just couldn't stand working for 'The Man,' and dropped out of the Academy the day before graduation. Now, using a booth at the local cyber cafe as his 'office,' Dodge works as a Private Eye, prowling the rainy streets of Seattle on the trail of cheating spouses, deadbeat dads and runaway teenagers.

"Dodge's latest case has him searching for a client;s long-lost father. He finds the guy easily enough, but then two goons shoot up Dodge's houseboat, crack his ribs and scare his cat. When the missing father suddenly goes missing again, Dodge finds himself tangled up in an old crime that keeps claiming new victims."

FIRST LOOK: ACTION COMICS #811

Action Comics #811 will arrive in stores on Jan. 14 from DC Comics. The issue is written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with art by Karl Kerschl and a cover by Ed McGuiness and Dexter Vines.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Kicking off the 3-part 'Strange New Visitor,' running weekly in January's core Superman books! Superman is missing after the cataclysmic events of Superman #200, and now Metropolis is facing a new crisis without the help of its champion.
