SMALLVILLE UPDATE

Appearing on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly on Tuesday night, Smallville star Tom Welling said that he had been approached about the in-development Superman movie at Warner Bros.

Welling said he talked to Brett Ratner when Ratner was attached to direct. Ratner has subsequently left the project.

"I actually went to Brett's house in Los Angeles and we sat down and talked about it a little bit, both knowing that scheduling would always be an issue," Welling said.

"Basically, if that movie were to happen, the show would pretty much have to go away, and I don't think that's what anybody wants."

"As least they've come to you," Daly said.

"They have, they have. Maybe just as comparison, but they have," Welling said.

Welling said that Shaquille O'Neal -- a self-proclaimed Superman freak who starred in the Steel movie -- attended the premiere of his new film, Cheaper by the Dozen.

"He introduced me to his kids as Superman, and that was pretty cool," Welling said.

TEEN TITANS ANIMATED UPDATE

Cartoon Network has released its schedule of Teen Titans episodes for February.

Following is a rundown:

Saturday, Feb. 7: "Fear Itself?"

Raven doesn't fear anything. Or at least, that's what she wants everyone to think. But when a ghostly, unknown force starts hunting down the Teen Titans one by one, Titans Tower turns into a house of horrors -- and even Raven gets rattled. Will she be able to control her fear long enough to find out what's really going on?

Saturday, Feb. 14: "Date With Destiny"

A creepy criminal known as Killer Moth threatens to destroy the city with a flying army of Mutant Moths, unless Robin takes his spoiled-rotten teenage daughter Kitten to her junior prom. While the other Teen Titans are scouring the city in search of Moth's secret hideout, a reluctant Robin has no choice but to go along with the villain's bizarre demand. Saturday, Feb. 21: "Transformation"

The beautiful Starfire has never thought much about her looks. But when a strange red bump appears on her forehead, Star becomes concerned. As she grows tusks on her neck, scales on her skin, and hideous clawed fingernails, the question becomes unavoidable- is Starfire turning into a horrible alien monster?

Saturday, Feb. 28: "Titan Rising"

Terra returns to Titans Tower, ready to join the team. But after what happened the last time they saw her, the Teen Titans aren't sure that's such a good idea. But Robin reminds her that everyone deserves a second chance. Can Terra win the Titans' trust and become a full-fledged member of the team?
