JUSTICE LEAGUE ANIMATED UPDATE

Fred Savage and Jason Hervey, who played brothers on The Wonder Years television series, are having an animated reunion.

Savage and Hervey are providing the voices of Hawk and Dove on Cartoon Network's Justice League animated series next season, The Continuum has learned.

Savage played Kevin Arnold and Hervey played Wayne Arnold on The Wonder Years, which ran on ABC from 1988-1993. Savage, now 27, recently played the mole-stricken Number Three in Austin Powers: Goldmember.

Two other members of The Wonder Years cast have also been involved with Warner Bros. Animation.

Olivia d'Abo played Star Sapphire in Justice League and Ten (from the Royal Flush Gang) in Batman Beyond. Danica McKellar has provided the voice of Frieda in Static Shock.

In addition, The Wonder Years father, Dan Lauria, guest-starred on Smallville.

Halle Berry said that she trained in a Brazilian form of martial arts called Capoeira in prepartion for her role as Catwoman.

"I'm getting to do a lot of my own fighting," Berry told Extra. "I'm able to do some of this Catwoman stuff that I really didn't I would be able to do. And that's exciting."

Capoeria uses a combination of high kicks, gymnastics and boxing moves.

"It's beautiful and it's sexy," Berry said. "And it's really tough."

STUART MOORE'S 2004 COMICS

Stuart Moore on Monday provided The Continuum with details of his upcoming projects.

Following is a rundown:

PARA

A six-issue mini-series from Penny-Farthing Press, launching in March with art by Pablo Villalobos and covers by gaming artist Stephan Martinieri.

PARA begins with the catastrophic, radiation-soaked first test of the Supercollider, the world's largest nuclear particle accelerator. Twenty years later, when the Supercollider has cooled off enough to enter, Sara Erie accompanies an investigative team to find out what happened to her father, the head scientist of the original project. But what Sara finds shocks her:  no bodies, no radiation badges...just a single word, written on the walls in blood:  PARA.

"PARA -- the series -- is part techno-thriller, part science fiction, and part horror," Moore said. "It's about what's waiting in those worlds we can't quite see -- except, sometimes, in our dreams. It's about what really happened in the tiny fractions of a second after the Universe was created. It's about one young woman's desperate quest to learn how her father died.

"It's got complex characters and alien creatures and hidden motives and homicidal machines and shocking deaths and big, big mysteries, and lots of high-tech excitement. Oh, and frogs. Really strange, scary frogs.

"Basically, it's the most ambitious thing I've written, and I'm very, very proud of it."

GIANT ROBOT WARRIORS

The graphic novel, with art by Ryan Kelly, arrives in stores on Friday.

Giant Robotn Warriors is described as "a political satire for the 21st century." Meet the U.S. Department of Giant Robot Warriors, an understaffed team that has to spring into action when a small Mideast country suddenly achieves GRW technology. The results? Bizarre combat, unexpected romance, and plenty of robot action.

LONE

Dark Horse's wild future-western, with art by Jerome Opena, busts wide open in January with issue #4, featuring the origin of the mysterious gunslinger called Lone.

JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES

Issue #30, coming in April, features a once-in-a-lifetime meeting between The Flash and Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth. Art is by Tim Levins.

VAMPIRELLA

"Mo Money, Mo Bullets," the ultimate white-boy hip-hop nightmare, will appear in an early 2004 issue of Vampirella Magazine. Art is by John Lucas.

STEVE RUDE'S THE MOTH

Steve Rude's The Moth Double-Sized Special will be 56 pages, arriving in stores on March 17 from Dark Horse Comics.

The book, drawn by Rude and written and inked by Gary Martin, will cost $4.95.

"If comics fans have been missing something of late, they're in for a surprise!" editor David Land said. "Daring, action and adventure are about to make a big return to comics in the form of Steve Rude's The Moth. If you're looking for outlaw bikers, circus clowns, African witch doctors, blood-thirsty monsters, and bearded ladies, this story is for you!"

Here's how Dark Horse describes the book:

"Ten-time comic industry award winner Steve Rude and writer/inker Gary Martin deliver an action packed adventure that reminds us of what comics are all about! In The Moth, Dark Horse has allowed Steve Rude unrestricted creative freedom. And Rude has responded with some of the best work of his career! In this issue The Moth, who is living with a touring circus troop, finds himself in a battle for his very life, against a savage creature known as the Lionman of Botswana."
