WANTED #2 SECOND PRINTING

Top Cow Productions is printing a new edition of Wanted #2, which, like the second printing of Wanted #1, will be called the "Death Row" Edition.

Featuring a distinguishably re-designed JG Jones cover, the second printing will feature the entire story of Wanted #2 and include several new bonus pages of material showing extras like changed scenes, deleted panels, and more. Wanted #2 Death Row Edition will ship to stores on March 17, the same day that Wanted #3 will hit stands.

"When (Jim) McLauchlin (Top Cow's editor-in-chief) called me up and told me this issue had sold out in 36 hours I was excited for a second and then had the most horrible feeling that the whole thing is just an episode of Punk'd," said Wanted writer Mark Millar.

"The response to the bonus material from Wanted #1 was so positive that we wanted to reward the fans again with more extras in the Wanted #2 Death Row edition," said Joel Elad, Top Cow director of marketing and sales.

CLAYPOOL COMICS UPDATE

Claypool Comics won't have any issues shipping in April, but the company will be back in May with twice as many as usual.

Claypool had scheduled its solicitation announcements for Deadbeats #65 and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark #132 to appear in comics distributors' catalogs for items shipping in April, but the information didn't reach the distributors in time.

As a result, the solicitations will appear in the next issue of the catalogs, for items shipping in May. They'll appear alongside the issues ordinarily scheduled for May, Elvira #133 and Soulsearchers and Company #66.

"Our Elvira series is featuring some prime parody fodder, including CGI meddling with classic movies, announcer sniping at award shows, and the ever-popular love-hungry squid men," said Claypool editor Richard Howell. "Additionally, Elvira's consistently showcasing top creators doing their funniest work ever. Soulsearchers is on a new plateau ever since the always-amusing Peter David joined his story sense with the terrific work of our new art team, John Heebink and Al Milgrom.

"Also, Deadbeats is cresting a climax of a long-building story line, as young series hero Kirby Collier is buffeted through different eras and time-bands in his mission to rescue Dr. Powell. I can't wait to see what happens next, and I'm the writer (and artist). It's also some of the moodiest, most dramatic work that my ink-partner Ricardo Villagran has ever delivered."
