HELLBOY MOVIE UPDATE
The Hellboy movie, the first of potentially seven comic-book films to reach theaters this year, opens on Friday in 3,028 theaters.
The film has been greeted with generally positive reviews and should contend for the No. 1 spot at the box office. ABC's Joel Siegal on Friday called the film "a huge hit."
"It doesn't matter if it's No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3, the film is a success," said Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro in an interview with the G4 television network this week.

ASTRO BOY RETURNS TO KIDS' WB!
Kids' WB! will highlight Astro Boy during its weekday line-up in the 3 p.m. (ET/PT time period), from Monday, April 19 - Friday, April 30, for a two-week stunt of original airings.
The network and Sony Pictures Television and Sony Consumer Products are also joining for a "Big Chill" contest to give one viewer the chance to win a truckload of Astro Boy's favorite treat, Pop-Ice. The Grand Prize winner not only will receive a truckload of Astro Boy Pop Ice Freezer Pops, but also a set of Astro Boy Wristlinx two-way watch communicators. Additionally, 400 first-prize winners also will win a set of Astro Boy Wristlinx two-way watch communicators.

THE SIMPSONS UPDATE
Matt Groening, creator of the The Simpsons, appears in the "My Big Fat Geek Wedding" episode of the show, airing Sunday, April 18.
Here's how Fox describes the episode:
"Art imitates life as The Simpsons creator Matt Groening makes his first guest voice appearance, happily signing autographs for fans at a Springfield sci-fi convention."
