SPIDER-MAN 2 UPDATE

Kirsten Dunst, who plays Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man 2, said she isn't surprised at the sequel's box-office success.

"It's a very universal story. With the success of the first everywhere, I think it will just be more successful because it's a better movie," Dunst said at the film's premiere in Berlin.

"I had fun making the movie, and other people worry about how it's going to do. I'm glad people like it," said star Tobey Maguire. "I like it. I'm proud of it."

Spider-Man 2 has already set opening-day, five-day and six-day records and figures to be the fastest film to reach $200 million.

The WB will show two repeats of Smallville, "Rush" and "Suspect," on Wednesday, July 21.

Not only does Clark show off his powers, but he kisses Chloe in front of a stunned Lana (Kristin Kreuk)."

BRUCE JONES EXCLUSIVE TO DC COMICS

Bruce Jones, writer of The Incredible Hulk, has signed a 2-year exclusive agreement with DC Comics. Jones will be writing for Vertgio, the DCU and WildStorm, starting with the mini-series Vigilante and a story arc in Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight.

"I've been itching to come over and play in the DC sandbox for years now ‹ to reacquaint myself with old friends both inside the books and out, and to meet new faces," Jones said. "Some of my earliest work was for DC, and it's been too long since I roamed the New York editorial halls -- and now the La Jolla editorial halls! -- figuratively and literally. I honestly think Vigilante is shaping up to be one of my best efforts, and I'm looking forward to continued work with Alex Sinclair on the series.

"At the same time, I'm enjoying my work with Jonathan Vankin, Joey Cavalieri, Scott Dunbier, and others, as well as Karen Berger on several weird and way-out Vertgio projects. All in all, I think this is going to be one of my most exciting times in comics!"

Karen Berger, VP -- Executive Editor, Vertigo, said, "We're delighted to have a writer of Bruce's talent and experience here at DC, and we look forward to working with him on projects that will showcase his signature style of modern horror."
