FIRST LOOK: SUPER MANGA BLAST! #44

Super Manga Blast! #44 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is by Mohiro Kitoh, Makoto Kobayashi, Kenichi Sonoda, Yuzo Takada and Hiroyuki Utatane and Yo Morimoto.

Here's how Dark Horse describes the issue:

"This issue starts off with two episodes of Makoto Kobayashi's playful, cat-centric strip, What's Michael?, featuring conniving, domestic felines at their troublesome best. Kobayashi's slice-of-life Club 9 drama chucks its usual romantic comedy aside, as the frightening, two-part 'Nightmare on Aki's Street' story line concludes. The heroics of Hoichi 'Gun' Kano are chronicled in Cannon God Exaxxion, with the Exaxxion robot temporarily out of commission Hoichi dones his powerful, armored suit! Ambushed on a space transport leaving the moon, the Seraphic Feather team faces combat of the mysterious, meta-powered kind. The horrific conclusion to Shadow Star's 'My Eyes Are the Eyes of a Victim...' story arc finds Shiina confronting the supernatural cause of her classmates' violent deaths, and what happens on the last few pages will definitely bring about big changes for our lead characters."

Super Manga Blast! #44 will be 128 black-and-white pages and will cost $5.99.
