Monday, January 10, 2005FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE UPDATERalph Winter, producer of 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four movie, told The Continuum that this week's first trailer will provide just a taste of the film. "Our first trailer is pretty exciting -- a glimpse at our effects and what is to come," Winter told The Continuum. "We like it and hope the fans do as well. "It is preliminary as we just finished shooting on Dec. 22. But it represents where we are going with the effects. It will only get better from here." The trailer will be attached with Elektra, which opens on Friday. According to a Fox representative, that is currently the only place where it can be seen. In other Fantastic Four movie news: * Stan Lee, who created the Fantastic Four with Jack Kirby, will be appearing at Wizard World Los Angeles on Saturday, March 19. Lee serves as executive producer on Fantastic Four and filmed a cameo. * Michael Chiklis, who plays Ben Grimm/The Thing, said he understands the character has a fan base. "I've played cultural icons before and I know there's a certain responsibility that goes along with that," he said. "You can't get preoccupied as an actor with that, you have to just bring your own joy to the opportunity to play this character and just jump in, you just have to go for it. There's always going to be someone in the audience who goes 'eh' that he didn't handle it. But hopefully the mass majority will go, 'Yeah, he was really committed to it and pulled it off.'"
