CONSTANTINE MOVIE UPDATE

The Continuum today begins its series of interviews from the Constantine movie press junket on Sunday in Beverly Hills, Calif., with Rachel Weisz, wjp plays the catalytic role of Detective Angela Dodson as well as Angel's deeply disturbed twin sister Isabel.

In other Constantine news:

* Constantine star Keanu Reeves didn't rule out the possibility of returning to the character.

"My contract didn't have a second film in it," Reeves said during a news conference on Sunday. "But myself and some of the producers and Francis Lawrence fell in love with the guy. I fell in love with the guy. I had one of the best times I've ever had working on this project. So we would talk about 'What could we do?'"

Reeves said that a sequel ultimate is up to the audience.

"That would mean that the studio would have the resources to go forward with it," he said. "I would love to play Constantine again as long as I worked with the same people."

* DC Comics and Vertigo are given equal weight to Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures in the opening titles.

* The film has a short scene after the closing credits, which reveals what happens to one of the primary characters.

* Shia LaBeouf, who plays Chas, will be a guest on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

* Gavin Rossdale, who plays Balthazar, will be a guest on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien on Friday, Feb. 18, the day of the film's opening.

SUPERMAN MOVIE CASTING

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Huntington has been cast as Jimmy Olsen in Bryan Singer's Superman movie.

Huntington, 22, joins a cast that includes Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, Hugh Laurie as Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White and James Marsden as Perry's son, Richard White. Kate Bosworth is in negotiations to play Lois Lane.

Huntington's film credits include Jungle 2 Jungle, Detroit Rock City, Not Another Teen Movie and Rolling Kansas. He next will be seen in Molding Clay and Safety Glass.

He recently has played Connor Mulcahy on CBS' CSI: NY.

Production is expected to begin in Australia in March.

Topps has announced that it again will offer Sketch Cards with its newest Star Wars release, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

The one-of-a-kind pieces of artworks, which are created by a team of well-known Star Wars artists, have become some of the most collectible cards among Star Wars fans and collectors.

Topps' Revenge of the Sith cards will be released the week of March 27. A seven-card pack has a suggested prcie of $2.

* The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie returns to Cinemax in March. Air dates include Saturday, March 5 at 3 p.m.; Wednesday, March 9 at 6:05 p.m.; Monday, March 14 at 10 p.m.; Thursday, March 17 at 12:30 p.m.; Friday, March 25 at 8:45 a.m. and 8 p.m.; and Tuesday, March 29 at 3:15 p.m.
