MARVEL COMICS FIRST LOOKS

For covers and three-page previews of Marvel Comics titles arriving in stores on Wednesday, CLICK HERE.

SMALLVILLE UPDATE

The WB has released three images from "Lucy," the Wednesday, March 2 episode of Smallville.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Lois' (Erica Durance) younger sister, Lucy (guest star Peyton List), with whom Lois doesn't get along, comes to town and charms everyone she meets. However, Clark (Tom Welling) discovers a darker side to Lucy after he catches her stealing money from a bar and forces her to reveal the truth about her sudden appearance in Smallville - a truth that puts Lois in grave danger. Meanwhile, the crystal disappears from Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) apartment and Jason (Jensen Ackles) accuses Lionel (John Glover) of stealing it."

In other Smallville news, the Feb. 9 episode achieved ratings growth over the parallel week last season in all 18-34 and 18-49 demos as well as in persons 12-34 and women 12-34.

The series' largest gains came in the network's target 18-34 demos, including plus-22 percent in adults 18-34 and in women 18-34 and plus-21 percent in men 18-34.

The performance was also the series' best since the November sweeps in all 18-34, 12-34 and 18-49 demos, plus total viewers (4.9 million).

JLU, TEEN TITANS RENEWED

Cartoon Network has announced additional episode orders for both Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans.

There will be 23 new episodes of Justice League Unlimited.

Here's how the network describes the new season:

"This season, Black Canary, Shayera, Vigilante, Vixen and The Question step up to face such villains as Lex Luthor, Felix Faust and Tobias Whale.  And Superman takes on Cadmus in a battle that will determine the future of the League."

There will be 17 new episode of Teen Titans.

Here's how the network describes the new season:

"Cyborg has a final showdown with Brother Blood and the Teen Titans move to a new tower with five new members.  This year, Aqualad, Bumblebee and Speedy pitch in to help the Teen Titans."

In other Justice League Unlimited news, this Saturday's new episode is "The Doomsday Sanction."

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"While Superman battles Doomsday in the heart of a Volcano, Batman discovers an elaborate conspiracy to destroy the Justice League."

* The U.S. Pavilion and Warner Bros. Pictures Japan on Thursday announced that Batman Begins will make its Japanese premiere at the World's Fair, Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan. This screening is one of five pre-release screenings scheduled for this summer in Japan, and is part of a series of entertainment events that the U.S. Pavilion will offer throughout the Expo, which begins March. 25.

"The release of the new Batman movie in 2005 brings back one of the most popular superheroes of all time," said Bill Ireton, Managing Director of Warner Bros. Pictures Japan. "The Aichi Expo 2005 provides a unique opportunity to showcase this American comic book icon and pop culture big screen hero to the international audience at of the World Expo 2005. Warner Bros. Pictures is excited to be partner with the U.S. Pavilion at this important world event."
