MOONSTONE BOOKS FOR AUGUST

Following are Moonstone Books' solicitations for August, with information coming from the company.

KOLCHAK TALES SPECIAL

Written by Peter David, Clay Griffith, Stefan Petrucha and Dave Ulanski, art by George Broderick, Chris Burnham, Robert Hack, Kirk Jarvinen, Ken Wheaton and Keith Williams.

Peter David joins Moonstoneıs Kolchak creative team for this special story. This moody super-sized black and white special features three all-new untold tales of the Night Stalker, as we deconstruct Carl Kolchak during his visit to a psychiatrist.

Sit in with us as we listen to Carl tell of the fashion model mysteriously turned into stone; of a young boyıs apparent abduction by a cult being more than it seemed; and the surprising revelation that his skeptical nay-sayer, Tony Vincenzo, may have run into a few supernatural horrors back in his own early days as a reporter.

Two covers in a 50/50 split, one by Ron Frenz and the other by Dave Ulanski.

48 pages, black and white, $4.95.

REVISIONARY #2

Written by Paul D. Storrie, art by Eric J.

REVISIONARY/Randall Gordon, the man without a conscience, is haunted by glimpses of tragedies that are going to happen and by nightmares of the ones he doesnıt try to prevent. The chase is on and the clock is running down. Normally, if Randall can't save the victims he sees in premonitions, he's got to live with nightmares of their deaths. This time, if he can't stay one step ahead of the killers coming after Grace Warden, she might not die alone.

32 pages, black and white, $2.95.

BELLE STARR: QUEEN OF BANDITS #2

Written by Mark Ricketts, art by Steve Buccellato

Who killed Belle Starr? Adding a few more wrinkles to the mystery surrounding the legendary western outlaw's untimely demise. Belle Starr's biographer, having witnessed her murder, attempts to bring closure to a tragic story. Delving into the bandit queen's lurid past, questioning prostitutes and bitter family members, he uncovers many deep, dark secrets. But the closer he comes to discovering the identity of Belle's assassin, the more his own life is at risk.

32 pages, greyscale, $2.95.

THE CISCO KID: GUNFIRE & BRIMSTONE #2

Written by Len Kody, art by Dennis Calero.

Continued new direction! Grittier! Craftier! Sexier! If he was lucky, most mornings heıd wake up with a splitting headache and a demonıs case of cottonmouth, still tasting whiskey in the mix of his dry heaves. Not so today: His murdered girlıs father, a shaman, wants Ciscoıs soul. The Ranger and his Indian companion are hell-bent on bringing him to justice. Billy the Kid wants his blood. And a dream lover wants more than the usual. No, today was gonna be a little different!

32 pages, black and white, $2.95.
