FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE UPDATE

A new trailer for the Fantastic Four movie will be attached to Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith, Marvel Studios' Avi Arad said Thursday during Marvel's first quarter conference call.

"The movie turned out to be beautiful," said Arad, who is a producer. "And everybody is building behind it."

Arad is optimistic the Fantastic Four toy line will be success. A television commercial for the line will begin airing on Monday.

"They're called the Fantastic Four because they are fantastic characters," Arad said.

In other Fantastic Four news:

* Plans are for the new Fantastic Four animated series to debut about the time of the release of the movie's DVD. "We won't go dark," Arad said of the franchise.

* Ioan Gruffudd, who plays Reed Richards, talked to E! News Live about his character's super-hero name: "It's an incredible sort of name that is sort of given to him by one of the other characters of the movie, so he becomes Mr. Fantastic. He's not so fantastic at the beginning movie. He sort of becomes this incredible leader of the gang."

*Julian McMahon on Doctor Doom: "It's not until the last 10 minutes of the movie that he becomes this prosthetically bound, large, indestructible human being."
