BATMAN BEGINS UPDATE

The Continuum continues its series of features on Batman Begins today with a roundtable interview with Katie Holmes (Rachel) and Michael Caine (Alfred).

* The Batman Begins tour of European premieres reached Italy Thursday. Above is a photo of Holmes from that premiere.

* Drivers Mark Martin and Ricky Craven were part of a photo event for the Batman Begins 400 Friday morning at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich. They posed with Batman and the Batman-themed vehicles they will be racing at the NASCAR events this weekend.

MAY'S MARKET SHARES, ACTUAL SALES

DC Comics took over the top spot in dollar share and unit share for May, according to market share and actual sales released by Diamond on Friday morning.

Green Lantern #1 was the No. 1 book, and DC also cracked the top ten with Green Lantern: Rebirth #6 at No. 3, Villains United #1 at No. 5, OMAC Project #2 at No. 7 and Rann-Thangar War #1 at No. 9.

* Sony Online Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Friday announced an exclusive long-term licensing agreements allowing SOE to develop a DC Comics massively multiplayer online game for PC and next generation consoles, as well as the acquisition of The Matrix Online game by SOE.

* SOE will be creating a DC Comics game for the PC and next generation gaming platforms, and is currently planning on a fourth quarter release in 2007.
