COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL: MARVEL'S HOUSE OF M/X-MEN PANEL

SAN DIEGO -- A new X-Factor series written by Peter David was among the highlights Friday at Marvel's House of M/X-Men panel.

The series will begin in November, with art by Ryan Sook, and will be set in District X. It will include Jamie Madrox, Strong Guy and Wolfsbane, and will take an X-Files slant, with X-Factor being an invesigative team.

In other highlights from the panel:

* David said his last issue of the Incredible Hulk will be the one after House of M.

* Upcoming House of M variant covers are by Greg Land (#6), Salvador Larroca (#7) and Chris Bachalo (#8).

* Sentinel returns in November, written by Sean McKeever, with art by UDON.

* X-Men and Power Pack #1 is a four-issue series by Marc Sumerak and Gurihuru that launches in October.

* The first feature of Mythos, the original-retelling series by Paul Jenkins and Paolo Rivera, will feature the X-Men.

* The New X-Men: Academy X Yearbook Special will be released in October. It is written by Christina Weir and Nunzio DeFilippis, with art by Georges Jeanty and a cover by Aaron Lopresti.

* Marvel displayed the cover and inside spread from Exiles #69, the cover to Mutopia X #3 and the cover and an inside page from New Excalibur #1.

* Editor-in-chief Joe Quesada hinted that something with X-Statix might be in the works.

* A member of the Exiles will die in #71.
