FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: SUPERGIRL #1

Supergirl #1 will arrive in stores on Wednesday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Jeph Loeb, with art by Ian Churchill and Norm Rapmund and covers by Churchill/Rapmund and Michael Turner.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Kara's story begins with the same brand of high-flying adventure as she begins her whirlwind tour of the DCU! And the first hero she squares off against is Power Girl! Before this tale guest-starring the JSA is complete, secrets behind the origins of both will be revealed!"

Supergirl #1 will be 32 pages cost $2.99.

FIRST LOOK: ATOMIKA #4

Atomika #4 will be available this weekend at Wizard World Chicago from Mercury Comics and Speakeasy Comics. The issue is written by Andrew Dabb, with pencils by Sal Abbinanti, inks by Buzz and colors by Christina Strain and Beth Sotelo. Covers are by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald and Buzz and Steigerwald.

Here's how Mercury describes the issue:

"Russiašs western steppes were once a paradise, home to lush farms, thriving villages, and bands of gypsies who had been traveling since the dawn of time. But that was long ago. Jet Pack Pets: Let's Make Tracks! will arrive in stores in September from SLG Publishing. Ths book is by Michael Stewart and Garry Black.

Usagi Yojimbo #86 will arrive in stores in Aug. 31 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is by Stan Sakai.
