SMALLVILLE UPDATE

James Marsters, who joins the cast of Smallville this season as Professor Fine/Brainiac, said he had a bad hair day for his first scene on the show.
Marsters said he had a reaction to the dye used on his hair.
"It scabbed out pretty bad. There were scabs all the way around my hairline," he said. "The first very first shot, you'll have to forgive me. It looks like I have a wig, but it's not."

* Showtime will air The Punisher, starring Thomas Jane and John Travolta, five times in September. Air dates include Monday, Sept. 5 at 12:45 a.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 7:55 p.m.; Monday, Sept. 12 at 11 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m.; and Friday, Sept. 30 at 7:45 p.m.
* Nicholas Guest is providing a voice in an upcoming episode of Justice League Unlimited.
* Mark Hamill is providing a voice for the Ultimate Avengers animated movie.
* Speakeasy Comics is reporting that Rocketo #1 and Hero@Large #1 have both sold out. Speakeasy has no plans to go back to press on these two titles.
