FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: SUPERMAN/SHAZAM: FIRST THUNDER #1

Superman/Shazam: First Thunder #1 will arrive in stores on Thursday from DC Comics. The issue is written by Judd Winick, with art and cover by Josh Middleton.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Witness the first meeting of The Last Son of Krypton and Earth's Mightiest Mortal in this 4-issue mini-series written. While Superman must stop members of a cult from stealing an ancient artifact from the Metropolis Natural History Museum, Captain Marvel must defeat giant robots rampaging through Fawcett City. When the same cult attempts to steal an artifact from a Fawcett City Museum, Superman drops by to lend a hand, and teams up with Captain Marvel against an all-new threat!"

Superman/Shazam: First Thunder #1 will be 40 pages and will cost $3.50.

FIRST LOOK: IMMORTAL KISS #1

Immortal Kiss #1 will make its debut on Sept. 17-18 at the Baltimore Comic-Con from Graphic Illusions Studios. The issue is written by Dion Floyd, Chris Freiberg, Jens Altmann and Corey Scales, with pencils and inks by Chris Harden, inks by Mojo, colors by Erik Korsgaard and front and back covers by Ted Wing III and Abdul Rashid.

Here's how Graphic Illusions Studios describes the issue:

"Chicago PD Homicide Detectives Ilya Romanov and Sonia Flores are called in to investigate a grisly murder outside of a trendy nightclub, The Nocturne. It's a race against time to stop the killer from striking next. Romanov and Flores soon discover that the Nocturne's mysterious owners may hold a missing piece to the puzzle."

Immortal Kiss #1 will be 24 pages and will cost $2.95.
