TEEN TITANS UPDATE

New episodes of the Teen Titans animated series are being targeted for November, a representative of Cartoon Network told The Continuum.

Expected to air in November is a two-parter featuring Beast Boy and the Doom Patrol.

In other Teen Titans news:

* Teen Titans Go! comics writer J. Torres told The Continuum that the Doom Patrol will also appear in the comic book.

"We're working on a Doom Patrol issue for February," Torres said. "We're starting to work closer ot the events in the show."

Torres said his will be an original story that will connect to the televisions episodes.

* Teen Titans Go! #25, shipping on Nov. 30, will be a holiday-themed issue.

Torres said the issue features the first comics appearance of Billy Numerous and "a gift exchance that goes horribly wrong."

* According to Wendy's web site, the fast-food chain will be staging a kids meal promotion with Teen Titans.

* Television story editor David Slack has been concentrating on the straight-to-DVD movie, with Rob Hoegee and Amy Wolfram picking up the slack on Season 5.

THE BATMAN UPDATE

Batgirl will make her first appearance on Kids' WB!'s The Batman on Saturday, Sept. 17, the network has announced.

Producer Jeff Matsuda told The Continuum that he based Batgirl's color scheme on that of the 1960's Batman television series, with the purple and yellow, "but still keep in with our Batman themes as well."

Kids' WB! is currently promoting Batgirl's appearance. Althogh the network has been showing new episodes of The Batman in recent weeks, the Sept. 17 episode is considered the season premiere.

SMALLVILLE UPDATE

Alan Ritchson has been cast as Aquaman for The WB's Smallville, sources close to the show have confirmed for The Continuum.

Attempts to get official confirmation from the network were not returned.

According to E!, Ritchson is a model and a singer, as well, who landed a lead role in Lions Gate's The Harvest as well as a part in Beowulf. He is a native of Niceville, Fla.

Sources told The Continuum that Ritchson can swim.

The character will be featured in an episode titled "Aqua," which will likely air during the November sweeps.
