TEEN TITANS NEW EPISODES

Cartoon Network is launching new episodes of Teen Titans on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m., the network has confirmed for The Continuum.

The episodes were originally intended to air in November, but advertisements recently indicated the new premiere date. Wulin Warriors will now premiere in January.

Plans are for episodes #53-65 to air through December.

Here are the first four episodes, with descriptions provided to The Continuum:

"Homecoming Part 1"

When Beast Boy's former team The Doom Patrol is in trouble, the Titans must embark on a daring mission to save them. Beast Boy explains that this can only mean one thing: the Doom Patrol's greatest foes are back. The Brotherhood of Evil has returned.

"Homecoming Part 2"

The Doom Patrol has been saved, but the sinister Brotherhood of Evil is still on the loose. It's just like old times for Beast Boy when he finds himself back on the team for one last mission - to stop the Brotherhood once and for all... no matter what the cost.

"Trust"

The Brotherhood of Evil has begun its master plan to eliminate all of the young superheroes around the globe, starting with honorary Titans Wildebeest and Hotspot. This new threat brings Robin to Morocco. But with an unknown enemy, how can anyone know who to trust?

"For Real"

Control Freak returns to Titan Tower with "The Ultimate Titans Challenge," a series of events designed specifically to challenge the Teen Titans. But what happens to Control Freak's big plan when he finds himself facing not the "real" Titans -- but the Titans East?

TOP COW'S V.I.C.E.

Top Cow Productions' V.I.C.E. -- Violent Incident Control Enforcement -- is a new ongoing series debuting in October. Aron Coleite, writer of television's Crossing Jordan, crosses over into comics and is joined by artist Tyler Kirkham in what Top Cow calls "an action-packed, unapologetic drama."

The agents of V.I.C.E. are superpowered FBI agents, charged with bringing down domestic terrorists and the worst of all possible superhuman threats. The V.I.C.E. agents are not without their own flaws, but they all must overcome their own personal problems to act as the last line of defense against world-shaking threats.

"V.I.C.E. has the spirit of great team books, but it's also the next evolution," said Renae Geerlings, Top Cow's managing editor /VP of publishing. "This is one of the darkest of team books, and one of the darkest of dramas, with even the 'good guys' coming across a bit shady."

"I'm having a great time collaborating with Aron on this project," said artist Tyler Kirkham. "It's exciting to see writers from other mediums cross over to take on the world of comics, and bring fresh ideas in."

SUPERGIRL #1 THIRD PRINTING

With the second printing of Supergirl #1 sold out at DC Comics a week before arriving in stores on Sept. 8, DC Comics is sending the issue back to press for a third printing.

Supergirl #1 Third Printing is written by Jeph Loeb, with art by Ian Churchill and Norm Rapmund. Due to arrive in stores on Sept. 28, this new printing features a new cover by Churchill, inspired by the classic cover of Adventure Comics #252.

"What the heck is going on?" Loeb said. "Supergirl, Power Girl, Wonder Woman are all in hot books! You'd think that suddenly the world woke up to fact that the DCU has strong, clever and often funny women who can drive the marketplace -- and how great is that?"

About the cover, Loeb said, "Ian did this particular cover out of love for the original Supergirl and we wantedsomething that said thank you to all those fans who from 1958 until 2005 have stayed loyal to the character of Kara Zor-El. Personally, I think she's the coolest thing out there."

Which witch are you?
