CANNON HAWKE PREVIEW

Aspen Comics has provided The Continuum with a preview of the first three issues of Cannon Hawke, a mini-series that launches in October.

Both Cannon Prelude #1 and Cannon Hawke #1 arrive in stores on Oct. 5, with the second issue due later in the month.

The series is written by J.T. Krul, with pencils by new Aspen artist Marcus To.

Below is a preview of the first issue. Here's how Aspen describes the issue:

"You've accompanied Cannon on his adventures within the pages of Fathom; now join Cannon as he strikes out on his own and tackles his most dangerous mission yet! A fugitive on the run from the council, Cannon travels to Japan with Akiko in an attempt to secure the one person who may have divulged information that led to the destruction of the Blue city of Saba...the 'Shark,' Shalla Barnic. But, Shalla holds even more secrets, even deadly ones. Cannon's internal struggle with Taras continues... A struggle Cannon may not be able to win. How can Cannon hope to defeat a new enemy when he cannot even defeat one within himself?"

Below is a preview of the second issue. Here's how Aspen describes the issue:

"Attacked by Shalla's men at the end of issue #1, Cannon goes in search of his assailants and his stolen vial. Trailing them to an old warehouse on the shore, Shalla is prepared for Cannon's arrival. But, what is this vial of liquid? And why are Shalla and his acquaintances ready to put their lives on the line in order to keep it? Even Cannon doesn't know, but he may not live long enough to find out!"

Below is a preview of the third issue. Aspen is withholding information on the issue until after the first two come out.
