TEEN TITANS UPDATE

"Homecoming, Part 2," a new episode of Teen Titans, will debut on Cartoon Network on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The Doom Patrol has been saved, but the sinister Brotherhood of Evil is still on the loose. It's just like old times for Beast Boy when he finds himself back on the team for one last mission - to stop the Brotherhood once and for all... no matter what the cost."

THE BATMAN UPDATE

"A Fistful of Felt," a new episode of The Batman scheduled to premiere on Kids' WB! on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 a.m. (ET), was written by Steve Melching, a frequent contributor to the series.

"'A Fistful of Felt' was tremendous fun to write," Melching told The Continuum. "It has a dark, creepy sense of humor that really appeals to me.

"The episode marks the return of The Ventriloquist, and I think we found some clever new twists for him. The great Dan Castellaneta provides the voice of Wesker/Scarface, and it was a treat to meet him and watch him work. Adam West and Frank Gorshin reunited to reprise their roles as Mayor Grange and Prof Strange in the episode, which sadly turned out to be one of Gorshin's final performances."

SPAWN: THE ANIMATION UPDATE

McFarlane Productions has released a model sheet image of Barabbas, a new character, from the upcoming Spawn: The Animation.

Barabbas is the right-hand man to the villain Lukas. The character is 6-foot-6 and weighs 320 pounds.

"It's all muscle," said director Chuck Patton. "He's a tank."

Barabbas is voiced by Michael Jai White, who starred in the title role of the Spawn live-action movie.

Note the elaborate tattoos on the character. "We tried to make them as realistic as possible," Patton said.

"The bad guys are much nastier," producer Terry Fitzgerald said. "They're much more darker."

The film is due on DVD early next year.

WARNER UMD/DVD ROUNDUP

Warner Home Video has announced an Oct. 18 release date for Spawn (Animated) on UMD.

Here's how Warner describes the UMD, which is from the HBO animated series:

"How can you avenge betrayal and murder? How can you fight for right in a world so steeped in evil? How can you protect those you love most from all that can do them harm? No man living - or dead - can tell you. But one trapped between both is struggling for an answer that can save the lives of his most beloved, or plunge the world into eternal darkness. The cloak and chains of Spawn explode from the comic book page onto the screen in a deadly tornado of untapped, unwrapped, merciless power."
