Monday, October 3, 2005WIZARD WORLD BOSTON: WILDSTORM/VERTIGO PANELThe origin of Agent 355 will be revealed in Y: The Last Man #41, DC Comics announced as part of its WildStorm/Vertigo panel at Wizard World Boston on Sunday.
The issue, written by Brian K. Vaughan with art by Pia Guerra, also delves into the secrets of the Culer Ring.
Y: The Last Man #41 will be in stores in January.
In other highlights from the panel:
* The Exterminators, by Simon Oliver and Tony Moore, will launch as an ongoing series in January.
* American Virigin, by Steven T. Seagle and Becky Cloonan with covers by Frank Quitely, is targeted for a second quarter launch.
* Jack of Fables, a monthly spinning out of Fables, is targeted for a third quarter 2006 release. The book is writen by Bill Willingham and Matthew Struges, with art by Tony Akins and covers by James Jean.
* The V for Vendetta hardcover will feature a new eight-page section with early sketches by artist David Lloyd.
* Eric Powell has become Swamp Thing's regular cover artist. "The Bleeding Raconteur" continues in January's #23 as Swamp Thing has reached a turning point in his life with his godlike elemental powers rushing back. Joshua Dysart and Enrique Breccia continue as the creative team.
* In Desolation Jones #5, Jones has been hired to deal with the men who stole an ex-spook's collection of exotic pornography. But what Jones finds instead is an unsolved massacre and a family held together by hate. The issue, by Warren Ellis and J.H. Williams III, will hit stores in January.
* An issue of ABC: A-Z in January will feature Terra Obscura and Splash Brannigan.
