Donal Gibson is reprising his role of Captain Boomerang in an upcoming episode of Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited.

The character will be seen in "Flash and Substance," which will likely be the next new episode. In the story, Batman and Orion see a different side of the Flash when a roguesą gallery of villains attacks the museum that is opening in his honor.

Gibson, brother of actor Mel Gibson, previously voiced a non-costumed Captain Boomerang in the "Task Force X" episode of JLU.

In addition, the episode features Flash villains Trickster (voiced by Mark Hamill), Captain Cold and Mirror Master.

The episode will also include the DC Animated Universe introduction of Linda Park.

Five years after helping launch Marvel's Mangaverse as a writer and consultant, C.B. Cebulski returns to the universe in January with New Mangaverse -- Rings of Fate #1.

"I was just as surprised as anyone when Marvel asked me to pitch this new series," Cebulski said. "But after hearing about the trades going into new printings and retailers asking if we will ever revisit the Mangaverse, Marvel was quick to answer the call."

Cebulski is joined by artist Tommy "Slayers" Ohtsuka to put their creative spin on the Managverse versions of characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine and Iron Man, as well as breathe life into new characters like Spider-Woman and Lady Deathstrike.

Cebulski said writing the New Mangaverse mini-series "is like going home."

"The original Mangaverse X-Men one-shot marked the beginning of my career at Marvel," he said. "I transitioned from writer to editor to talent manager, and now I couldn't think of a more appropriate title for me to make my writing return on. It's going to be one wild ride."

In the story, most of the heroes have been driven underground -- and now someone's killing them one by one.

The five-issue mini-series launches on Jan. 18. Click on the thumbnails above for larger images.

Dabel Brothers Production announced on Wednesday that it will be continuing work with major fantasy and science fiction writers such as Raymond E. Feist, George R. R. Martin, Robert Silverberg and Tad Williams into 2006, with several new titles adapted from these authors' most popular works.

The Dabel Brothers also have licensed the works of several additional fantasy and sci-fi writers, including Orson Scott Card, Monte Cook and R.A. Salvatore.

"Back when we first started working on our first comic book, we had a vision for what we wanted to do in this industry," said Les Dabel, vice [resident of Dabel Brothers Production. "We wanted to produce high quality adaptations of some of the best novels in the realm of fantasy and science fiction. And, despite some rough curves and learning experiences, we've accomplished just that with critically-acclaimed titles like Tad Williams' The Burning Man, Richard A. Knaak's Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma, George R. R. Martin's The Hedge Knight and Raymond E. Feist's The Wood Boy."

"What's more, we're in a great position to continue expanding our line of titles, having numerous licensed properties already in the works for a 2006 launch, and we're excited to be building relationships with an even wider array of bestselling authors from the realm of science fiction and fantasy. We've even developed a new logo that should help fans to immediately associate DB Pro with these genres."

Some of the new titles from the Dabel Brothers will include:

* George R.R. Martin's The Hedge Knight II: Sworn Sword.

* Raymond E. Feist's The Riftwar Saga: Magician.

* Orson Scott Card's The Tales of Alvin Maker: Red Prophet.

* Orson Scott Card's Wyrms.

* R.A. Salvatore's The Highwayman.

Monte Cook's Ptolus.
