OEMING DRAWS JUDGE DREDD

Powers artist Mike Avon Oeming has illustrated a six-page Judge Dredd story, written by Robbie Morrison, for the 100-page Christmas issue Prog 2006 of 2000 AD, to be released on Dec. 14.

The story, "Straight Eye for the Crooked Guy," is a parody of TV reality shows, in which Mega-City One perps are given a makeover to try to curb their criminal ways.

Oeming also drew the short-lived DC Comics Judge Dredd series.

Prog 2006 also features Strontium Dog by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, Nikolai Dante by Morrison and John Burns, Slaine by Pat Mills and Clint Langley and the new series The Ten-Seconders by Rob Williams and Mark Harrison.
