KELSEY GRAMMER ON ISIS MOVIE

Kelsey Grammer told The Continuum he remains hopeful that the Legend of Isis movie, from his Grammnet Productions, will be made.

The film, set up at Paramount Pictures where Grammer has a first-look deal, was announced last December. Ali Russell has written the script.

"They keep telling us that it's too expensive," Grammer told The Continuum.

"I really like it, though. I'm hoping it's something we can get through."

Blue Water Productions' Darren Davis, creator of the comic, told The Continuum he is encouraged with the film's development.

"The new head of the studio really likes the project and they are finsishing up the final draft of the script," he said.

Grammer is currently filming X3 in Vancouver. The first view of him as the blue-skinned Beast will be on Monday when the film's trailer appears online.

NARWAIN'S DR. JJ

Dr. JJ, a one-shot by Philip Osbourne, Wellington Dias and Joe Rubenstein, is scheduled for a February release by Narwain Publishing.

Here's how Narwain describes the book:

"Dr. JJ is a successful Manhattan psychologist. He's married, has two beautiful children and is living the good life provided by his flourishing practice. Things take a turn to the dark side when he successfully treats a patient suffering from depression...a patient who turns out to be a demon. Word of mouth spreads through the underworld and soon all manner of evil entities are scheduling appointments with the doctor."

"I wanted to take the irony of sophisticated New Yorkers and blend that with pure horror," Osbourne said, "just as I blended genres with my previous book, Jenna. Hopefully Dr. JJ will appeal to people who enjoy urbane fare like Sex and the City as well as darker themes."

The book will be 32 pages and will cost $3.99.
