X3 MOVIE ROUNDUP

Long-time X-Men writer Chris Claremont has been filmed for a cameo in the X3 movie, The Continuum has learned.

Claremont joins Stan Lee in the film. Claremont has a non-speaking appearance.

In other X3 news:

* With the X3 trailer debuting online on Monday at 7 p.m. (ET), the first images from the film have also been released.

The image to the right shows Kelsey Grammer as the Beast.

The images below show a bulked-up Ben Foster as the Angel. The first image is from the Worthington Laboratories and also appears to include Michael Murphy as Warren's father and Shohreh Aghdashloo as Dr. Kavita Rao in a scene that is also included in the trailer.

Hugh Jackman's look as Wolverine remains pretty much the same as in X2. Halle Berry has yet another new wig as Storm, and in the preview of the trailer given to journalists in Vancouver last week, it appears to be slightly darker and more natural.

* The trailer, which will air on Access Hollywood on Monday, shows Wolverine using his claws in new ways, including slowing himself during a fall.

* Eric Dane, who is playing Nick in Painkiller Jane (premiering Saturday on Sci Fi), has been confirmed as Madrox, who will side with the Brotherhood in X3.

* Although USA Today is reporting that a fourth X-Men film is unlikely, Grammer has signed for two movies.

* Below are some of the first images from the trailer.

FANTASTIC FOUR SEQUEL

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fantastic Four director Tim Story and screenwriter Mark Frost are returning for the sequel.

FF stars Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba and Chris Evans are all back for the sequel, which is targeted for July 4, 2007. According to the trade, Julian McMahon, who played Doctor Doom, will not be back and is involved in another project, Premoniton, with Sandra Bullock.

It is currently unclear if producer Ralph Winter or associate producer David Gorder will return.

Sources told The Continuum there's a "very good chance" the sequel, like the first film, will be shot in Vancouver.

The film will give Marvel a formidable 1-2 punch at the box office for the summer of 2007. Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to open May 4, 2007.

Fantastic Four, which opened at No. 1 at the box office in July and brought in $154 million domestically, reaches DVD on Tuesday.
