With the release of Street Fighter II #1 this week, UDON has announced the beginning of its line of new collectible comics - Street Fighter II: Raw Editions.

A Raw Edition provides a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making an issue of the Street Fighter II comic book.

All the original pages are presented in their unaltered penciled format, giving a never-before-seen look at Alvin Lee's original artwork. Also included is the complete script by writer Ken Siu-Chong, giving access to the same blueprint used by the art team to create the issue. Completing the package, the writer and artist have also provided a running commentary for every page, sharing their thoughts and various anecdotes from the books production.

Beginning with issue #1, retailers who order issues of the Street Fighter II comic series will receive one complimentary Raw Edition of that issue for every 15 copies of the regular issue ordered. This offer also extends to reorders, while quantity last.

"We would like to do something to reward the retailers that has been supporting the SF comic," said Eric Ko, UDON's chief of operations. "I know that most incentives out there are just variant covers of the same issue, and we would like to offer something more special! That is why we come up with this Raw Edition, and also to give the serious readers some more in depth look into the SF comic production."
