Paul Dini told The Continuum that he has written the upcoming episode of Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited that features Supergirl and The Legion of Super-Heroes.

Dini said he wrote the script from an outline by Dwayne McDuffie. It is the only episode Dini worked on for the current season.

The episode is titled "Far From Home." In the story, Supergirl is kidnapped to the 31st century for what the history books say was her last adventure. The Fatal Five appear, as do more than 20 Legionaires

According to a Cartoon Network representative, new episodes of Justice League Unlimited are targeted for late spring/summer.

Bob Richardson, producer of the upcoming Ultimate Avengers animated movie, said that the film should satisfy fans of the comic book upon which it is based.

"Obviously the graphic page is not the same as the movie, but we did capture the spirit behind it," Richardson said. "We had a great team of artists working on it and they did a great job."

Richardson is a veteran animator with dozens of credits. He previously worked with Marvel on Fox's Spider-Man series, as well as Spider-Woman and Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.

Ultimate Avengers reaches stores on Feb. 21. Click on the thumbnails below for larger views of recently released images.
