Sunday, March 5, 2006X-MEN: THE LAST STAND UPDATEA new trailer for X-Men: The Last Stand will air Monday during Fox's two-hour 24 broadcast and should give fans a good look at the May 26 release.
"The new trailer is great and give us chills with how good it is," producer Ralph Winter told The Continuum. "We are pretty excited."
A representative of the Fox network could not pinpoint a time as to when the trailer will air. 24 will air from 8-10 p.m. on Monday.
In other X-Men movie news:
* Fox is releasing UMD versions of the first two X-Men films on May 6. Click on the thumbnails for larger looks at the packaging.
* Production designer Ed Verreaux said the look of X-Men: The Last Stand will be consistent with the first two X-films.
"I think that it's going to be more stylized as far as the acting and the cutting goes as opposed to the look," Verreaux said. "Because the look is somewhat established. Some of the stuff really can't be too much changed like the established X-Jet, things like that, because it's stuff we've already seen."
* The film is featured in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.

KEVIN MAGUIRE TALKS BATMANArtist Kevin Maguire told The Continuum he's on board for a three-issue stint of DC Comics' upcoming Batman: Confidential title.
"It's the first meeting of Catwoman and Batgirl," Maguire told The Continuum. "I'm working on it with Fabian Nicieza."
What should readers look for in Maguire's version of Batman?
"What I like to do with Batman is have it so you never see his face," Maguire said. "He's a mysterious figure."
Before the Batman: Confidential gig, Maguire is filling in on Superman/Batman #27.
"It's a fun script," Maguire said, noting that it features Huntress, Power Girl, Solomon Grundy and the Ultra-Humanite.
Superman/Batman #27 is scheduled for a May 24 release. DC Comics has not announced a launch for Batman: Confidential.
