Rocketsports Racing has provided The Continuum with images of the X-Men: The Last Stand-theme car that competed in the Crown Royal Grand American Challenge of Long Beach on Saturday.

One of the Rocketsports drivers, Tomy Drissi, is the owner of Drissi Advertising, which produces and distributes large movie standees for such studios as 20th Century Fox.

The team ran a Fantastic Four car last year in Portland.

Shi creator Billy Tucci is the artist for Marvel Comics' new Heroes for Hire series, The Continuum has learned.

Attempts to confirm this information went unreturned by Marvel.

The series, which will spin out of the Daughters of the Dragon mini-series, will be written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti.

The first three issues of Heroes for Hire are on a checklist for Marvel's Civil War event.

Joining young adult fantasy author Tamora Pierce, French artist Phil Briones has signed on to do pencils and inks for the upcoming White Tiger series from Marvel Comics.

"I grew up with Marvel characters," Briones said. "When Marvel offered me the opportunity to work on the new female White Tiger I was immediately thrilled!

"Then learning that Tamora Pierce was going to write it made it simply perfect. I mean the two of us having already been separately working on stories with strong female fantasy characters was clearly a sign that we were destined to be working together. And for a Frenchman, you canšt imagine how thrilling and engaging it is to be working for the House of Ideas."

Born in Dijon, France, Briones started his career as an animator for Walt Disney Feature Animation. He has also been the artist on several French comic series, including La Geste des Chevaliers-Dragons, Kookaburra Universe, and Les Seigneurs d'Agartha.

Briones received his degree from the Gobelins School, the same school House of M penciler Olivier Coipel attended.

The White Tiger series will focus on the new character introduced in Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run. The cover shown here is by David Mack.
