Dabel Brothers Production has announced a fall release for its adaptation of R.A. Salvatore's The Highwayman, a novel that is set in the prehistory of his Demon Wars saga.

"When I started reading The Highwayman, I knew almost immediately that we had to make it the focus of our next big fantasy project," said Ernst Dabel, president of Dabel Brothers Production.

"There was something about it that was very fresh and new, and it gave me the same irresistible feeling I had the first time I picked up one of Mr. Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urden books. The story begins like a Robin Hood folktale, but it evolves into something very deep and meaningful by the end, with a very big, very groundbreaking feel.

"Since we had already been talking to Mr. Salvatore about adapting books from his original series like Demon Wars, we immediately worked out a deal to adapt The Highwayman as a sort of introduction. And I think the fans are going to love it."

According to Dabel, Salvatore will be actively involved in the project.

"One of our core philosophies at DB Pro is that we involve our authors in every step of the process," Dabel said. "Mr. Salvatore will have the opportunity to see every page and piece of conceptual art as it's turned in and offer his direction. He will also be working closely with our script adapter, Matthew Hansen, and the book's editor, Sean J. Jordan, to ensure that the story is told in a manner that stays true to his vision of the original. This means that readers won't just get a great book based on the writing of R.A. Salvatore; they'll get an official visual version of an original R.A. Salvatore creation!"

Dynamic Forces has provided The Continuum with a look at the Sin City Marv Bust, the first bust in DF's Sin City Collectible Legends Bust Series.

The bust was sculpted by William Paquet and will be released in July.

"With Marv and Sin City, I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to give the big lug another go, and fortunate to have the support of a great team of creators with me through the process," Paquet said. ³Miller creates visions of superb starkness. I use his illustrations to inspire my efforts."

The bust stands 5 1/2 inches on a base 2 1/8 inches by 2 3/4 inches. It will cost $49.99.
